For some reason on any hardware listing application it always says a different CPU voltage than what I enable in my bios. I have c1e disabled as well as cool n' quiet. I'm not sure if this most recent BSOD was from too high of voltage, too low of voltage, too high cpu clock? I got it after about 2 hours of raiding and watching videos on my second monitor and it was fairly random, thought i was really stable.

I am using an amd phenom II x6 1055t that runs stock at 2.8 ghz, and HT/NB 2000mhz. I overclocked it by lowering the multiplier so I could achieve a 3900 MHZ overclock, 1600 MHZ overclock on ram that is rated 1600 MHZ, and my HT/NB are at 2100 MHZ. I figured a safe voltage would be around 1.414 and moved up to 1.425 and its still a little stable. I am not really sure where my possible error is coming from, anyone have input? Thanks in advance!

Most recent BSOD? How many have you had? ..anyway, fresh clean install of windows; and see if it stays stable at the current settings. OC'ing kills your OS; it's best to do it on a throw away "test" operating systm. Don't activate it, until you know it's good; 30 days to play, and all that. You can try a system restore, (back to before you started overclocking; or you can run a checkdisk, and see if that'll fix it. No way of knowing if it continues to BSOD though; only way is a fresh install and two stress testing programs. No AV, or games, or other stuff; until it's passed those. Watch the temp's, and see if it's stable.

maybe you are experiencing major Vdroop the unloaded setting is too high and the loaded setting is too low.

these are my settings between different tests, the first two are 1.33125vcore in my bios.  as you can see the loading pushes the vcore down during massive loading of OCCT small data sets.

different setting, line load calibration.  No overshoot.

    Dude, BE CAREFUL!!!

There are many reports of boards failing when paired with a Phenom II X6. Many boards claim to be forward compatible with the X6s but they don't have the hardware to handle the X6. One of the supposed signs is BSODs caused by fluctuating voltages. Unfortunately, I know some of this from experience...

This seems most common on MSI boards, and occasionally Gigabyte. What board are you using?

A poopy Psu can cause it to if you dont have enough juice.
This was my first ever try at OC a cpu and it was pretty easy...

But i have an Asus board ;)

Temp wise i idle between 32c and 35c. Full load in the mid 40s.

apparently the core temperature is always 9C off of the actual temperature, unless you have everest reporting your temperature, so I was probably hitting 60C before I got everest. Also, the voltage stated in bios is always way off from what I actually measure, so I think that is where MSI's boards get screwed over in regards to oteher boards.

I got that everest thing and it said my cpu temp was 24c

My Pc probe 2 from Asus says 33c so ima go with the one with the higher number for safety reason's.
