Hey everyone,
I am having the weirdest issue with Windows 7 Pro 64bit. Every time I turn on or reboot my pc it seems to have rest things or not have installed programs.   When windows loads up I will be missing desktop icons or it will not load drivers properly.  I am running Comodo Internet security and I am always telling the program it can always trust programs games multiple times for the same program ( I did not have to do that on Vista).  There have been a few times where I am missing hole programs and have to reinstall.  Some times I can fix that if I restart my pc but I am getting tired of doing that.  Anyone knew what my issue is, I am about to reformat and try again.

I did contact Western Digital and they instructed me to run there Data Life Guard Diagnostics for Windows program.  I ran the program in safe mode and regular desktop, testing all my hard drives and they all passed.  Now is this an issue caused by the Sata 6Gbs?  This is the hard drive I am running.  http://www.tigerdirect.co...6076939&CatId=139.

If Comodo is uninstalled does the problem still occur? Has the problem only occurred recently? If the problem occurred only recently then I recommend you try and find a system restore point prior to when the troubles began.

I don't think this is a Windows 7 problem. Go to the X58 section and download the X58 template from the sticky section. Fill this out and then post back with it.

I am going to move this thread to the X58 section. You have your CPU setting to auto despite the fact you are overclocking and I think you might need to raise this setting and maybe VTT as well.

When dealing with installation of major programs that integrate themselves into your os and installing an os you really should be running your hardware at stock to make sure things do not go wrong. It can happen might need to do a fresh install of windows with your hardware not overclocked.

If you reinstall Windows 7 or do a repair install do so at the default PC settings with no overclocking

I just did a fresh install of Win 7 64 Pro and two hard drivers.  the above metioned WD 1TB and a Seagate 500 gig.  The same errors/issues are appearing on both.  I'm thinking that my board might be bad since my eternet ports keep kicking out ( Its not the modem for internet nor routor because the other pc on the network have internet connection).  I think I will rma the board and see if a new one will stop the errors if it dose not I will down grade to the regualr X58 Mobo.  Check out the link to view my other issues with the board.
