I just got my first 470 today and Im already thinking about getting a secound one.  Will my PSU be enough for sli 470's?  TX850W

Cooler Master Cosmos II, ASUS PB278Q 2560x1440 monitor, i7 860, Evga p55 FTW, 8 gigs Muskin Ridgeline Red DDR3 1600, one Evga GTX 680 with a koolance block, Koolance 360 waterblock, XSPC 360 rad, Black ice 240 Rad, Swiftech 655 pump, XSPC dual bay res, Corsair AX1200W,Windows 7 HP 64bit, WD Velociraptor 300gig HDD, and a LG dvd burner

    You should be fine as long as you don't turn the voltage up on the GPU's and CPU. Then the power use can go through the roof. Max clocks on stock volts should be safe. My 950TX hasn't had any problems with my 480SLI setup even with overclocked CPU and GPU's.

    yes you will be ok as long as you dont get extreme with overclocking

    Yes you'll be fine for GTX 470 SLI and overclocking.  Probably not extreme overclocking but you're not using or planning extreme cooling, are you?

    Nvidia's SLI zone even recommends the Thermaltake Toughpower XT 750W for two 470's. I run two 460's on it overclocked, with a 4.0 i7 920 D0 -- you should be fine.

    That's good to know, thinking about doing a step up to 2 470's
