From a consumer perspective; next to AT&T, Comcast is possibly one of the worst companies on the face of the planet.  I hate being a customer of comcast, I could not imagine working for them.

I have quite the opposite opinion. Working there I know there are some folks who don't like comcast but I have had no issues now or before I started working there. This is one of the reasons, aside from the awesome benefits and the pay, I decided to apply at the company.

I'm curious though, what is the reason you feel it's one of the worst companies on the face of the planet?

Also the main reason for posting this was to let people know of an employment opportunity if they are looking. With the economy the way it is we can all use a little inside information if we can get it.

In my area, comcast is the ONLY cable internet service provider.  My parents have comcast in Atlanta (where there are other competitors) and their rates are a good 15% lower than ours.  My bill consistently goes up.  It may only be a few cents or a dollar here and there, but its the principle of the matter.   My service drops out on a weekly basis, and sometime does not come back on until I have a technician sent out to repair it.  That means I have to call the 1800 number which, on average, I will spend close to 45 minutes navigating through menus and being put on hold.  I even had a record 93 minutes on hold once before even speaking to a LIVE person.  After the service call is set up, I pray that a competent technician will be sent.  Over the last few weeks I've had 3 different techs come out before the issue was resolved.  The first 2 had absolutely no idea what they were doing.  The third gentleman had the issue fixed in less than 10 minutes, and even questioned the previous techs work ethic/knowledge.

Ive had comcast for over 5 years and this is nothing new.  I cannot recall one time when I have actually had superb service.  If another ISP were to move into this area, I would change my service in a heart beat.  Unfortunately, I dont think that is going to happen.

What I'm amazed about is that a company today is trying to go door-to-door to sell high tech services like Tv, phone & internet.....
I didn't know the resurgence of encyclopedia salesmen was making a comeback..??
