Any idea whats going on? My second monitor goes black when I load Bioshock 2 and crysis warhead. I then found in crysis that the 2nd monitor only goes black when crysis is in DX10 64bit mode.

Could someone with Crysis Warhead, 2 monitors, and a GTX 470 try to load up the game in 64bit DX10 mode? I am wondering if this problem is isolated to me or is widespread.
I want to be able to monitor temperatures during crysis, but cant with the second monitor going black.

My second monitor goes black about 80% of the time when playing BFBC2. I have DX11 running so not sure if that info helps you.

I have 2 GTX 480s and I never get this problem with Crysis, Crysis Wars, Crysis Warhead (all 64-bit DX10), or BC2 in DX10/DX11. No idea why that would be happening.

My 2nd monitor would sometimes go black, and I found that it has to do with Windows' perception of available memory to run Aero. After a while of the screen being black, Windows would post a window saying, "Windows has detected that you are low on resources. Do you want to:
1) Leave everything alone
2) Turn off Windows Aero"
If I turn off Windows Aero (or use a desktop that doesn't implement it), then my screen doesn't turn black any more.
I'd say start there and see if that fixes it.

Most games that dont like being minimized the second monitor goes blank but some games the mon doesnt! gtx 480 sli and on the 295s when i had them.

Checked up on this on the AMD forums and it got closed by the administrators with absolutely no feed back... So assuming this is just a pure limitation. There is no such limitation for SLI, soooo I think I'll be going NVidia here soon.

Mine does this too, Alt+tabbing a couple times gets it to come back up.
