Well i have to decided

1.Do i buy a OCZ Vertex 2E 120GB 2.5" sata-II Solid State Hard  Drive and stick with my 2 x GTX285 and install a GTS250 for Physix i have lying around as i dont need DX11 at the moment ?Which will give me enough money to buy a  Creative's Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium - Fatal1ty Professional Series

2.Or do i buy a GTX480 and then sell my 2 x GTX285 to buy a second GTX480 in SLI?

PLEASE HELP ?

Also i have the E760-A1 board so installing a Physix card will make the top slot from x16 to x8 is that correct, but i am lead to belive that would no make a difference as most games only use x8 ? I only play BFBC2 at the moment.

whats your advice all

Option 2, DirectX 11 looks very nice and the processing power, wish I could afford them.

The 295 is the only 200 series card that utilizes bandwith higher that 8X , the 400 series and the ATI dual cards use more thatn 8X as well, No card uses full 16X babdwith, but they do use more than a 8X slot can provide. the loss on a 295 is minimal as a 8X slot can provide a bandwith of 4.0 MB/S, and a 295 can use 4.2 MB/S.

I have been well pleased with my SSD's, But I'm impatient, and hate waiting on things to load, or jpegs to render.

Unless you believe your system is slow or laggy or using it will constantly remind you of some system impotency, why not choose option 3 and save it up for something else later on?

Just so you know my bias:  You're talking to someone that upgrades their entire system once per 3yrs.  To me worth = endurance, that if I upgrade too often then there was no point in getting it in the first place because I didn't keep it long enough to make full use of it.

Based on my preferences, the appeal of an SSD is stronger because it is genuinely new technology compared to my HDD than just another faster graphics card to make the games I play look prettier (as if I couldn't play them before).  Altough we're only young once, so maybe you should upgrade your graphics and you won't regret it.

But I'm impashant, and hate waiting...
Pun intended?  You typed more letters.

For Intel processors, 0.122 x TDP = Continuous Amps at 12v [source].

my .02 is sell the 285's and get the vertex 2 ssd and 1 x 480, then add another 480 later on.

otherwise i would keep the 2 x 285's and get a ssd.

speaking from same thing you did except i chose intel ssd and sold 3 x 275's for 3 x 470's

you will see performance gain from both methods, but why not do both and wait on sli? as for the biggets gain in performance SSD will give you better performance increas then going from 2 x 285's to 2 x 480's

my vantage score went up 7K points just going to SSD

So i am thinking get the 60GB OCZ Vertex 2E instead of the 120GB and 1 x GTX 480  then sell mt GTX 285 and buy a second GTX 480

Thyis way i get the both of best worlds, as for the 60GB ssd i will only install w7, antivirus and BFBC2 and a few other small programs which should be enough space. Then my 2 x raptors in Raid0 can be my storage devices ie pics, videos & downloads ect

Then i can save up for the souncard at a later date as its not a urgent requirment

i'd say stick with the 285's and just get an ssd,if you're only bfbc2 ing it why get a 480,those 2 are more than enough for bfbc2.
i was thinking about it but nothing is making my cards sweat yet.
i may even miss the 4 series completely.

I know where your coming from just cant make my mind up, but if i sell my GTX285 will still get a half decent price at the moment. Also playing BFBC2 single play the cards really struggle on high

So iam just tolled between 120gb ssd and a new soundcard or 60gb ssd and 2 new GTX480 :-(
