Hello! I need assistance with BIOS settings and CPU voltage adjustments to resolve random PC crashes, including restarts and occasional BSODs. I’m using a 14900KS paired with a Z790 Dark Kingpin motherboard. I’d appreciate a more experienced opinion on what settings I should use, such as CPU multipliers, V/F control, and CPU configurations etc. Thank you!

Doing this causes temperatures to exceed 90°C and pushes the voltages to unsafe levels, potentially risking damage to both the CPU and the motherboard. Thanks for your input, though!

Are you running the latest BIOS with Intel's latest Microcode?  https://forums.evga.com/BETA-BIOS-for-Z790-0x12B-Microcode-Update-ME-Firmware-Update-10102024-m3626313.aspx

That is supposed to stop the use of unsafe voltages as long as you're not overriding the Intel default setting in BIOS.

Lock your two preferred cores to the rest, set your IA VR Maximum Voltage to 1400-1420 as long as you can keep your VID request under 1.4v and your Vcore at 1.35X you're good. Next to cool it if you are not using an insane loop, or an ek delta2 tek setup with 3x 420 or 360 rads with 3x pumps and a big res for the cpu alone you may want to lock all the P cores to 56 or 57 if you want to keep temps down if you are not going to go to that level of cooling. You may also have to do some core by voltage offsets due to the voltage table of the KS as well.
