A Taiwanese graphics card maker now lists its Radeon RX 7600 Mech 2X Classic at $249. This is the lowest price for the US market thus far. The discount means that we are looking at a $20 lower price (MSRP of $269) for AMD Navi 33 graphics card within a month since the initial listing of this graphics card.

MSI’s card offers a dual-fan cooling solution and no factory-overclocking. The “Classic” in the product name means that the cooler is actually based on last-gen models, such as RX 6700 Mech series.

The MSI offer is not as impressive as week one offers from European stores, going up to 13%. The MSI discount means we are looking at a 7.4% lower price. It is very likely that the price adjustment is a result of the next-week’s RTX 4060 launch, which will cost $299 according to NVIDIA. However, Radeon RX 7600 is should still be a worth competitor to the upcoming GeForce RTX 4060, as shown in leaked 3DMark tests. The card may not offer the same ray tracing performance, but it should be comparable if not better in traditional rasterization. Performance aside, both of these entry-level cards have the same physical limitations, such as 8GB 128-bit memory and PCIe Gen4 interface with 8 lanes. Those may sway gamers away towards more compelling last-gen models featuring more memory and wider buses.

The price drops make sense with the RTX 4060 launching very soon.
