This leaker
has already provided very similar test results featuring Intel 13th Gen Core non-K series just a few days ago. Thus far the track record for this hardware leaker has been excellent, which means that the data presented is very likely accurate. Today scores of yet unreleased Core i9-13900KS processor have been shared, focusing on one benchmark only. This is Cinebench R23 single and multithreaded score showing 5% and 3% increase respectively over existing i9-13900K SKU. According to what we already know about the upcoming 13900KS variant, it is designed to take the single-core performance lead, thanks to maximum 6.0 GHz clock out of the box.
The i9-13900KS is the upcoming Raptor Lake-S desktop CPU with 24 cores (8P+16E) with default TDP increased from 125W to 150W. Not only is the maximum turbo frequency higher, but the base clock of Performance cores has been sped up by 200 MHz as well.
According to the latest information, this processor is set to launch on January 12, 2023. This date has been mentioned by other sources before which adds more credibility to such claims. The only missing piece of information is the price. However,
we did see a price leak from a Canadian retailer supposedly showing a 22% price hike over 13900K model.
Let's hope the price is lower than expected.
