https://videocardz.com/newz/uk-retailer-teases-nvidia-geforce-rtx-3060-ti-with-gddr6x-memory It looks like Scan is now listing the new RTX 30 GPU, sort of. Scan has begun showing GeForce RTX 3060 Ti with GDDR6X memory on their website, but this information is not quite visible to all users. The retailer has been chosen by NVIDIA to be an official reseller of NVIDIA Founders Edition GPUs in the UK. This means that by going to NVIDIA UK website and selecting ‘all buying options’ for RTX 3060 Ti Founders Edition, one will be directed to a special website hosted by Scan. There, the specs of the RTX 3060 Ti can be seen, including the well known and official 8GB GDDR6 memory configuration. However, upon adding the item to the card, one will see the following message:
As far as we can tell, the mention of GDDR6X memory only shows on this page (item in basket), and it is not shown during further purchasing steps (checkout). Scan is either preparing their website for the arrival of the updated GDDR6X model, or this could be a mistake on the retailer’s side. We are leaning towards the first option because such a model was already rumored to be released in October, so this would be a very strange coincidence, indeed.
Regardless if this is a GDDR6 or GDDR6X model, the price of 369 GBP is still one of the lowest in the UK for 3060 Ti SKU. The Scan UK is selling the cheapest custom models for as low as 455 GBP, while other retailers offer as cheap as 399 GBP. Furthermore, according to the item description, the boost clock of 1670 MHz, which is 5 MHz higher than official RTX 3060 Ti GDDR6.
Interesting that this close to the 40 series release you see this video card appear.
