I have a red light on above my power connector on my 3070ti. I have read that this means some sort of power failure to the card. I have tried new psu cables, reseating the card, plugging the psu power cable into a different spot on my ax 1200. My old evga 1070 hybrid does not light one up when I plug it in and works normally. The strange thing is that even though this light is on I have no had and issues with the card at the moment. I have been playing f1 manager, wow, valorant, league and some other games with zero issues. Gpuz shows the voltage in a normal ranged on both 8 pin connectors. I guess I'm just wondering what else this light could be. I have included a pic of the card and a screenshot from gpuz while f1 manager was running.

Looks like 1 power section might be compromised but not enough to cause a failure , hanging in there but it has tripped the fault light, 28.4% TPD...
what does it do when you start Kombustor?

 
I ran Kombustor for 5 min to start and it ran smooth like i would expect it to if the card was running normal. Gpuz posted from just before I ended the test.  I Guess maybe it is getting or got close to failing but not quite there?

no way, Something set off the red light even though what should have tripped it has not failed. probably a closed/leaking diode in the circuit, I would run it without fear , no worries.

Yeah the card is only 3 months old so I have plenty of time on my warranty for now ill run it see how it does. If it dies ill throw in my 1070 for a few weeks while I send it in. If it does die at some point.

Could you try a different PCI cable by any chance?

 
I have tried 3 different sets that came with my ax1200

If you have an original Corsair AX 1200 (2011). I recommend trying a different power supply.

I suggest to get and try a different PSU. Some voltage seems to be off on this. It could be one of the minor voltages, or it could be ripple.

The output capacitors on this PSU are quite crowded and the unit is quite old. Some might have died.

I'm going to pick up a RM850x tonight and install it. I was planning on doing it in another month or so anyway and ill report back and see if that changes anything tonight or tomorrow.

Try enabling ERP mode in BIOS of the motherboard. 

 
I am going to try a new psu and if that doesnt work ill try this.

Same issue with ERP mode enabled and a new corsair rm850x installed

 
Ill keep the psu since I was going to change it due to age anyway. Even though that ax1200 is still a beast. I'll keep it as a back up for the moment. As for the the card itself I'll run it over the weekend and see what it does. I still have a 1070 hybrid as a backup to use if I have to go without it for a bit. I'm mostly playing tft ATM right now so I don't think I will notice lol.

Back in July when i first installed my 3070 ti precision x1 still had settings for using the LEDs as a temperature indicator maybe see if those are checked on. I  thought it only worked on the 20 series but stranger things have happened. Worth a shot. 

I just looked and didnt see anything there for that.
