i have a rtx 3070 ti ftw3 and thinking of going 3090 ti ultra. will my 5600x cpu and evga 850 g+ handle it ok.
thanks for any thoughts

    How old is the PSU?
     
    Probably would but I wouldn't do it. Highly suggest a 1000W or higher, especially if you plan to OC.

    Your 850 watt PSU is the minimum requirement for the RTX 3090ti. You can use it, but don't overclock it.

    i dont overclock and psu is about 2 years old. thanks for replies and i think ill look at a 1000 or 1200 psu just be covered.

    If your PSU is two years old depending on what 3090 TI you get not sure if you can get anything below a 3090 TI FTW3 Ultra Gaming. Because that perfectly binned card pulls anywhere from 500-530w stock. Imagine the lower binned may pull a little less. 
    I would personally at least get a new 1000w Titanium or Platinum premium power supply for it. If you want more headroom into the future like upgrading your cpu/board ram I would suggest at least a 1200-1300w Titanium or Platinum. It would also be a better idea to get one of the new gen power supplies designed with the new standard that can handle the loads, or you may have to get an EVGA Powerlink for your 3090 TI FTW3 Ultra Gaming to split the load for the long term of using PCIE cables.
