Hi,

Unfortunately, i own the 3060 model with very noisy fan startup sound. I was told by support this is by design and i can't rma the card and just use precision software. SIGH, i hate bloatware, especially to fix a fault/flaw but i digress. If i use auto setting, the fan stops and restart as needed as usual. If i manually set the rpm, i might not have high enough rpm to cool the gpu properly... I don't want to play with rpm depending on what i am going to play. Is it possible to set the fans to auto but with a minimum rpm?

Thanks.

Welcome to the Forums, einherjer
The default "custom" fan curve is going to be pretty much the same as the Auto settings, you can adjust it slightly from there (raising the fan speed on the low end), then hit Apply to save any changes. Just keep in mind Precision will need to be open (even if minimized to the taskbar) to apply your custom fan settings.

Apologies if I wasn't clear enough. In Precision X1, you will see arrows on the bottom half of the main screen. Click one of them until you get a screen that will show you graphics for each of your fans. On the left side, ensure the "enable automatic control" box is filled in, then you can move the graphs where needed. You can set a minimum speed by sliding the left dots up to your minimum desired speed. Once you have done this, click Apply and it should apply that specific curve the fans. The fan speed will change based on temperature.

Correct, you can adjust the fan speed at any temperature you'd like, just make sure you press Apply to save the settings.
