I've heard you can modify the X58 3X SLI CLASIFIED motherboard to work with a Xeon CPU. Would anybody be able to tell me if they've had any success, or destroyed their mobos with this before I start soldering?

Thanks in advance.

Is your board still under warranty (It should have a lifetime warranty)? If so, I would contact Evga about it and get them to do the mods for you.
If it's not under warranty, here are the two spots where you need to solder:
    (Same spots for the E759, E760 & E762)

    Above the cpu socket:

    Top-right of the northbridge:

Westmere-EP cpu's should work after doing these mods.

    The Banshee: Ryzen 5 5600 @ 4.65GHz 1.25V, CPU + 2X GPU Custom loop w/ 360mm & 240mm rads, Asrock X370 Taichi, 2X GTX 780 Ti SLI, EVGA 1300 G2, WD Blue 1TB (main storage), Corsair Force LS 120GB (OS Drive), Fractal Design Arc XL, 2X8GB G.skill Trident Z @ 3200 C14

My board is second hand so I'm not sure if the warranty transfers over, but the images make it look so easy that I think I might not even bother sending it off. Instead I think I'll probably just spend 20 minuets doing it myself.

    Thanks heaps!

Curious as well... hope he knows he doesn't need the mod with an e770 and he just needs a bios update.
