No sound from regular speakers with z390 Dark

This happened about a year or so ago and I don't remember what I did to "fix" it. I've uninstalled every audio driver that exists, even the hidden ones through CMD. I'm done with EVGA but for the moment I'd like to know if this can be fixed before I throw it in the trash can where all EVGA products belong.

Running Windows 10

Check your default sound output options in Windows Sound Settings.  I've seen it revert/default to Nvidia High Definition Audio or the monitors built-in speakers/passthrough (if you've got those), etc. on a driver update or randomly on reboot.
