Hey guys, so I just installed my new 3080ti ftw3 ultra and my GPU core clocks during gaming are peaking at 1900mhz+, usually at 1935mhz most of the time, I haven't even overclocked yet but shouldn't these be maxxed out at 1800 mhz out of the box? My temps are around 74C if 100% GPU usage all time with this 1935mhz clock speed.

Am I missing something ? should I reduce these clocks manually ?

Btw the slider button on GPU is set to normal with the other option being overclock right on the top of GPU.

That is GPU Boost that's dynamically and automatically adjusting core clocks if there's thermal headroom. No need to worry or adjust anything.

ye but isnt it capped at 1800, it can move beyond if it has thermal headroom ? and at 74 C shouldnt it reduce the clocks ?

It's not capped at 1800 it's it advertised clock it should work during load minimum without problems
74 is totally fine for 3080ti, its target is set to 82-ish

You can nerf your new $1500 card all the way down to mighty GTX710 with Precision X1 or MSI Afterburner if you wish, though

edit: as far as I know the swicth only makes fans more aggresive and perhaps rises power limit it does not overclock the card
