Strange problem I've been having recently. Whenever I try to copy something to my 1TB Caviar Black or try to copy something from it, my CPU loads to 100% for about 30 secs, followed by the display driver failing and then recovering. This repeats until the task eventually gets done, or until I give it a hard shut down. I've tried doing a full disk scan using the tool provided by Western Digital and it passed. Any ideas?

Specs are in sig except for a few things:
CPU currently downclocked to stock 2.83 Ghz
Currently using 2 GB 667 mhz DDR2 RAM while my Corsair RAM is getting RMA'd (failed a few memtests)

Note: I had this problem before I downclocked and with my old ram.

Using my 320 GB drive in the A0 SATA slot, no problems.
Using the 1 TB drive in the B1 SATA slot, problems.

Reload your motherboard chipset drivers and repeat this. Try a completely different sata cable to the 1TB drive.

Is there any specific way to uninstall my chipset drivers?

Looks like it was a bad SATA port. I moved my cable from the B1 slot to A1, and it's looking fine. Thanks rjohnson!
