Hi guys, i guess my gpu is arriving, i had to sent DHL (the transporter) the invoice for them to present to customs, and they forwarded me to a page talking about DHL charging for the service to deal with customs, if i accepted. An insanely long spreadsheet i couldn't even figure out what i would have to pay if anything. They never told me a value. Do i have to pay them anything for the DHL service to deal with customs, or is it all payd by EVGA, did you guys paid anything? I just wanted to avoid surprises when it arrives at my door. I'm reading DHL charges insanes amounts of money for this presenting to custom service crap and i'm starting to be scared. PS: this has nothing to do with the VAT, i know that is paid already.

Is this for an order directly from EVGA? The invoice should contain the amount for VAT. Otherwise try calling EVGA for more info: Call Service

If the VAT is already paid hopefully there will be no custom charges.

DHL should send you link to their web application where you fill out things and they will sort out customs on your behalf. I think I did not pay anything. Even if I paid small fee (other post services charge small fee) it is still ok, because otherwise I would have to solve this by myself which means to travel to capital city etc. insane expenses.

Topic is not about VAT, it is about customs which must be done even if VAT is prepaid and whatnot. Original poster filled out DHL form so there is no issue, DHL will proceed on hir behalf. I did not pay any additional fee to DHL so I suppose it is similar in all EU countries.

i got the link for the application like you said and send them the things they asked. i'm fine with the small fee, if it's all that is. I think i got misleading information of hundreds of euros then, got a bit scared, but you know never trust the internet. thanks.

So ordering from EU store you won't have to pay customs fee? Even though they ship the cards from Taiwan as far as I know.

Hopefully the invoice reflects payment of taxes and duties.

EVGA started paying customs for EU after they shut down the EU warehouse. The price you should expect to pay is store price + VAT + ~20(rounded up) eur shipping. If DHL wants to charge VAT/customs, something is off and you shouldn't pay them. Rather talk to them/contact EVGA about the issue. Experiences vary, some have DHL trying to charge them, I haven't seen the DHL customs application, I only sent invoice & product description via email and got mine :) rjohnson11 Hopefully the invoice reflects payment of taxes and duties.
Invoice reflects VAT, no mention of duties, I forget where's the information that duties are paid by EVGA :(

I got my 3080 a couple weeks ago, purchased directly from evga. Delivery was to Germany and I did not have to pay any customs/duties/fees and did not provide DHL with anything.

Not needing to pay anything extra would indeed be nice. Thanks for the reply.

If they ask you to pay more, contact them and/or EVGA. The price you pay is the price you pay, no extras should be added :) I have seen a few people complain that DHL wasn't accepting it until the person said in an email they would be contacting EVGA, suddenly there was no problem...
