I have been waking up and checking the GPU cooler page daily! I caught it before I even saw this post. Hopefully I am not too far behind in a queue. 30-40 minutes late could be weeks following GPU queue!

Uuuuuuh unlikely.  This is just a cooler mate, they can make these en-masse without much delay.  This queue will move light-years faster, pretty much guaranteed.

Note to anyone wondering: the cooler itself is only warrantied for one year (unless that's changed this time around), the cards are warrantied for 3 years (without extended warranty), hence why I want the one with it pre installed on the card ;)

That... kinda blows. I woulda hoped at least 3 years. I also was expecting to pay way more than $120 for this though. Maybe they assume people will "pay to upgrade warranty" to keep the cost low? 

Well also you have to keep in mind you can extend the warranty on the card up to 10 years, pretty sure, so that's huge for something with a CLC on it, if it dies in like 6 years, you get a newer gen card cuz there's no way they'll still have 3080s in stock at that point. lol
I could be wrong about how long the coolers warranty is, the CPU CLCs now have 5 year warranties, so it's possible this version of the GPU CLC will have that long of one too.  But it does say on the product list page that it's a 1 year warranty.

I wonder what kind of temperature drop can be expected for this cooler vs stock....

Well the triple-radiator KingPin version was able to keep the card cool enough to score 15,300 in Port Royal.  Standard air cooled FTW3 Ultra generally does around 14,000.   Yes the KingPin is a better bin, and also has a larger radiator with an extra fan, but this should still be a substantial improvement over simple air cooling because you still have fans blowing and keeping the board cool, and have just the GPU die being liquid cooled through a radiator and 2 fans.  It's definitely the best choice if you don't have a custom loop.  I would expect temps to be between 45-60C depending on load/power limit/oc settings.

I'm not sure that will matter though if temps aren't a limiting factor. The Hybrids could potentially end up overclocking just as well as the air FTW3s.

Just confirmed per the page the kit warranty is 1 year, not sure if there are extended option yet.   it's definitely better to buy the hybrid card if you have the option for the warranty and manufacturer's installation to spec.  plus it's usually less expensive by a bit.

The standalone kit doesn't have a -kr part number, so there isn't an option for an extended warranty.

Doesn't this mean it can get a warranty purchased?

Any word on the availability of these? Is there a notify queue similar to the cards, or is it just a waiting game for stock?

 
There was a notify queue for both the FTW3 and XC3 kits, but it appears they've reached capacity same as the actual cards as the buttons are no longer showing. Expect early to mid December for the next batch to sign up for.

ugh, that sucks. late to the game, as always. can't seem to oc my 3090 FTW3 Ultra without hitting 80+ temps
