Curious to see what cases people are using and what this board will fit into. (Cases for the Z590 Dark) or even the Z390, Z490 I was originally looking at the Corsair 5000x but with the right angle connectors it may be a bit tight. Suggestions or photos ?

thermaltake core X1. I like that the mobo sights horizontal and the massive weight of the GPU is not sagging on a PCIe slot.

Looks like the O11D-XL(/ROG) would fit it, the 7000X/D, The Corsair Syncro Q7, and the Dark Base Pro 900 v2 according to my research. I was curious and trying to help someone else solve exactly this problem. Those are the ones I've looked at. Most seem to have the same issue as the 5000x/d or have no room for radiators. I did not look at some of the sort of more "extreme" cases (cougar?). It seems most of the Fractal ones bottom the board right out...I can't tell on most of the Phanteks ones. It looks like a lot of Thermaltake cases would work.

Hey! that me was me you were trying help. I’m just curious to see if others have the Z390, Z490 or Z590 Dark boards and how they look in their cases since there isn’t much online about EVGA Motherboards.

I might be going with the Be Quiet Dark Base Pro 900 for my build but I wonder how it would work with a CLC 360 instead of going full water cooling.

You'll have to take out the CD rom bays, but it'll work great. You will even have room to do a push/pull. I had a clc-280 in mine with push/pull for a while because I didn't want to take out those bays yet and my old cpu wasn't that hot.

That is an idea. I do have a CLC 280 on another build if I switch it then I get the CD bays for some older games.

Your post got me to check it out. That's a really smart case. And I like the idea of the 280 to keep a cd bay. If I can't get my Dark into my existing 5000D then I'll definitely look at this Be Quiet. Too bad it's not available in white. But I'll adjust.

Just to be clear, I don't think a CLC-280 will do well with an OC'd 11900k (maybe if undervolted or something? That's beyond what I'm good at). It kept up with an overclocked 5820k, but that's a significantly lower heat-load than my OC'd 11900k. I've seen this hit ~333W in Cinebench. If you're determined to go the 280 route. I'd suggest trying the Artic Freezer ii. Mainly just because it has a thicker rad and has tested a bit better than the CLC-280. I loved my CLC-280, but the 11900k is just...a rocket-ship. Edit: Now, if you wanted to throw some 280mm rads in top and front with push/pull for a custom loop, you're in much better shape

Thanks. I appreciate your insight. Not quite ready for a custom loop. Baby steps with a clc 360. Been watching Jayztwocents bending hard line tubing and it looks like the kind of thing I'd like to do. Final product is nice to look at.

Yeah, that's why I went with the black rubber tubing from EK. It is seriously hard to mess up when you use the compression fittings. I use it at work too, and have never seen a leak. It was the only way I was comfortable. I love the look of hard tubing, but I couldn't risk it lol.

Bending hard line tubing looks great but i don't think i would have the patients for it.
