I just got a 3080 TI FTW3.

I prefer the Hybrid and am on the list for that, but still got about 150 people ahead of me and that list goes slow so could be months.

The question is whether people realistically would buy a used (not mining) 3080 TI at close to the price I paid.

My options are to:
- Sell now and just wait for an unknown amount of time.
- Use the card I got and sell it when I get the hybrid.  Wouldn't really want to do that if I lose too much on selling a used card.  Or are used cards holding up their prices (I only see unused ones on craigslist and really don't want to bother with eBay)

I know, this is a first world problem, but I failed on getting a 3080.

Thanks

You can't mine with a 3080 TI, at least not at a good rate. People will buy it.

do the hybrid conversion? its like $100, doesn't void your warranty and evga has great support. https://www.evga.com/products/product.aspx?pn=400-HY-1988-B1&associatecode=3Z4L6X5LIN0PBJM there is the link (I have my associates code as it will save you 10%) I just did a conversion over the weekend and if you go slow, follow directions closely you will be done in no time.

If you cant sell it locally, or in a way where you dont pay a fee. youre crap out of luck. If you look at eBay's sold listing for 3080Tis they're VERY close to MSRP. You wont make more than 100 bucks over what you paid.. lol

Ok, that makes sense. I don’t know why I missed such an obvious answer - maybe it is queue fatigue.

10% is a good bonus, so thanks for that link too

let me know if you pull the trigger. I have done a ton of research on the best way to squeeze every last drop in C's on those red hot backplate VRM's. If you have any specific questions shoot me a PM.

    Thanks for the helpful advice!

I was planning on selling it for $300 less than MSRP since I got it with that spin the wheel discount.  I will sell it for more then.

Not really true. You can get 64 MHs on a 3080Ti which is close to what a non-LHR 3070 will do. The power draw is higher than a 3070 but profitability is still high enough that power draw isn't too big of a deal.

I am getting 61MH/s on my 3070ti at this very moment. 185W LHR is only good if the user doesn't know what they are doing

Do not mine Ethereum with a LHR card. Mine Ergo, it pays way betters then Ethereum on LHR cards.

why not just stepup to 3090 if you worry about mining? or get the hybrid kit https://www.evga.com/products/product.aspx?pn=400-HY-1988-B1

Demand is so crazy high right now you'll be just fine selling it, especially if its even semi-close to msrp.

    I'd like to see proof that you're getting 61MH on a 3070Ti.
