So here i sit and my card isn't even under full load and it is pushing 80C and i am wondering if that is ok.  Since i have the gpu folding program running all day pretty much wondering if any real harm could come to the card having it sit so high for a long period of time pretty much.

No. It seems okay to me. I fold all the time also on my GTX 260, and I hit load temps of 75 with the fan on auto. If you're really worried, crank up your fan to like 60% or 70%. But you honestly don't need to; the cards are designed to work up to 105C before throttling or shutting down.

Do you have good case ventilation and airflow? Where is your fan speed set? If low...turn it up. 80c will not harm the card.

I try to keep mine under 70c but, that is just my personal preference.

Ok well i was just making sure since i'm not really in position to buy a new video card if i burn it out.  Fan is @70% when i have it folding 60% when playing bad company 2 or modern warfare but only time it really gets hot is doing folding so figured i'd rather be safe than sorry!

It is recommended that you do not fold when playing games.

I'm sorry....I just noticed that you have an Antec 900 case so, I know the answer to my earlier question regarding airflow. Your ambient room temp must be pretty warm.
