I do plan to do so but there's no waterblock available yet.
HC is delayed again and has no ETA.
I saw someone mentioning third-party blocks in this forum, but couldn't find any info outside the forum, so I guess they have some internal sources.

    Good to know, thanks.
I remember Bykski had one for 2080 Ti, don't know if there will be one for 3090.
Anyway I'm still trying to buy a 5950X, so not really in a hurry.

I made some massive gains with optimus block w/LM over stock cooler. gained 700 points in port royal
    https://www.3dmark.com/pr/736189

the block is phenomenal If I had a kingpin i would wait for the optimus

delta is 8c with paste. After talking to the rep they let me know how this block has the best contact of all the blocks and recommended me liquid metal. I took them up on it. impressed!

its worth waiting for since you guys get an aio off the bat so if your gona upgrade to a block you might as well go all out
backplate is also massive and well designed
comes with the largest fujipoly pad ive ever seen that covers the entire thing.

Did you get that chonk of a backplate too?  How's that look?  Any perceived help with thermals on the memory on the backside?

They should never release the card until the hydro copper is ready to go. You figure most people will put a waterblock on it anyway or LN2 but yet we see the same delays everytime.

That's with a die temperature of 16C, which is means the run was well below comfortable room temperature. My house is 16C and I'm freezing.

Since they're all the same, I plan on going with whatever is closest to $150. I do like the idea of having the official Hydrocopper block though.

    Main: 10700k @ 5.4ghz, 3090 K|NGP|N Hydrocopper, 4x8 @4300 16-16-16-36, EVGA 1200 P2, MSI Z490 Unify, 5 radiators, 2 pumps. Heavily modified Evolv ATX

    Travel size: Zen3 5800H, RTX 3060 Laptop GPU w/unlocked bios, 2x16 Kingston HyperX 3200 C20

Whichever one actually comes out , looks like we'll only have 2 options anyway... not a lot to choose from.

Jacob posted a picture of a watercooled kingpin.  I think this is the new hydro copper block and it looks good.  It appears that power connectors are moved to the right side, instead of on top.

Looks pretty consistent with their previous blocks.  Looking forward to an ETA!

As long as we can get the HC block as a stand along, thats all the matters to me... I really like the new design.

Does anyone have insight if they plan on just releasing the water block for the kingpin? I already bought a hybrid version.

They are currently planning to sell HC KPs as well as stand-alone blocks for the KP.

Edit: Can't post link,  but Jacob answered this question on Twitter after sharing the new pictures of the block

The Hydrocopper Waterblocks from EVGA are soon releasing. The picture that Jacob posted of the Kingpin HC looks amazing. Those could possibly release this month.

I am also waiting for the water block to EVGA 3090 K|NGP|N. Let's all hope it will be as soon as possible.
I think my choice will be the HYDRO COPPER because it looks great.

Yeah the 3090 kingpin hydro copper block is probably the best looking hydro copper block of any of they're models I've seen, very nice 👍 for sure.
