We need to know the rest of your system specs.  You might not even benefit from GTX 295 Quad-SLI if the rest of your rig is outdated, if your PSU can't handle it, and if your monitor's native resolution is very small.

GTX 295 Quad-SLI will definitely give you a higher average FPS.  A GTX 295 performs on par with a GTX 480 (slightly worse overall).  But if I were you, I'd sell the GTX 295, get a GTX 480, and more GTX 480s in the future.  This way you'd get less micro stuttering, better AA performance, DX11 performance, and overall higher FPS with two GTX 480s vs two GTX 295s.

    I disagree...

If your on a limited budget You can get a good used 295 for $300'ish now in the Evga marketplace.

Seeing as the o.p already has 1 gtx295 that would be a huge upgrade over a single 480.

But if you think you'll eventually have the cash to get a second 480 then go for it.

Are you folding or benching all the time?  If not you do not need another card at all.  A single 295 has way more power then you need to run your resolution.

Having said that if you really must spend more of your money then get the 480.  It is better than the 295 and will have less driver issues.

Single cards will always hold less problems than SLI cards. With that I'd say get the GTX 480 like suggested above. You already have way more performance than needed, so you don't really need an upgrade. The GTX 480, however, adds DX 11 compatability, so you'd be golden for at least a year.
