Re: OBS Setup - cut to black screen 2021/07/09 05:36:14 (permalink)
I am seeing the same issue here. Using StreamLabs OBS:
    1. Setup video capture device and go through to find the capture card.
    2. It grabs the card and displays in the setup for about 5 to 10 seconds
    3. Than it goes black screen like it has lost enough signal to the software.
    4. On my MacBook Pro switching the "Screen Mirroring" will bring the Capture Card display back in OBS for again another 5-10 seconds, than is blacks out.
    5. It should be noted...The HDMI output is displaying the image from Capture Card to a monitoring screen.

I will attempt a call to support later today when they open however this does not seem to be something isolated to one person. Though also may be an issue inside OBS with the capture device.
-- Webcams are not behaving in this manager. They stay connected.

Is there anything in particular needed with OBS on MAC OS? Does anything need to be enabled in system preferences > privacy? We have a mac laptop where evga works in wirecast but when we close out of wirecast, move to OBS and pull in evga xr1 lite - it sees it in the video capture devices but when I select it - there is no preview - it's not even black preview but like default gray for OBS theme.

We rebooted laptop etc - but each time OBS just isn't pulling in the active feed - which again is active in wirecast if close and switch apps

I have a screenshot of the issue but can't figure out how to attach here - attaching url results in busted image even though it's a publicly accessible link and attaching a file gives no options.

My advice would be for you to conduct EVGA tech support directly.

AMD Ryzen 9 7950X,  Corsair Mp700 Pro M.2, 64GB Corsair Dominator Titanium DDR5  X670E Steel Legend, MSI RTX 4090 Associate Code: H5U80QBH6BH0AXF. I am NOT an employee of EVGA

Did you ever figure this out? I'm having the same issue. Haven't been able to find a fix for it.

I can't exactly remember what solution was. It may have been a resolution issue where the capture device needs 1920x1080 resolution in the source as the capture device may not downscale to 720p etc
