Maybe I'm missing something.. But what do I need to do to increase the available power target in precision for this card, I tried both the OC and LN2 switches and both are the same as the normal switch for available max power target (105)

Odd, looks as though my LN2 switch just has the default BIOS installed on it, the OC switch has the 112% power target available. Is there any official way of updating just the LN2 switch to the BIOS that is suppose to be on there, without voiding warranty etc?

When you move bios switch do it with pc off . Restart and it will show higher power limit.

Yeah when I'm on the OC setting (this is a kingpin) the power slider only goes to 112. On normal and LN2 and is showing 105. What the hell did they flash into my bios that is so different than what is suppose to be there.

I have exclusively shut off the computer when flipping the switch, they must have put the same 105% limit bios on both my normal and LN2 switches, and some odd 112% power target limit on the OC setting.

He's confusing the XOC 3090 FTW3 BIOS with what we're talking about, the LN2 default BIOS on the 3090 Kingpin has a 520W Power Limit (though mine has hit 540W on that BIOS) - the fully "unlocked" 1000W BIOS is a whole 'nother ball game, it also locks your vRAM clocks at full speed so it heats the card up more, not very good for "cool" running high-score runs. As others have said, you have to reboot between switching positions - the LN2 BIOS should have a 121% Power Target limit in Precision X1 - check GPUz, it should say up to 520W for that BIOS switch position in the tab that lists the actual power limits. The Power Target Limit is definitely different on each BIOS position, Normal has like 105, not sure on the OC position as I didn't use it, and LN2 has the highest one (and the highest actual limit, it starts at 100% with a power limit around 450W or so and goes up to 121/120% (depending on the app you're using) with a 520W limit). You can always grab the 520W default LN2 BIOS off TechPowerUp & flash it manually yourself - it won't require any sort of overrides since the firmware/board IDs will match, you just have to use NVFlash and do a "nvflash -6 " with the BIOS name after that. I can send you the BIOS from my card if ya like.

Thanks, I have been rebooting between switch changes ( was shutting down computer, switching, then booting up) They must have just flashed the same bios on Normal and LN2, they both showing 105 power limit in precision, the OC switch goes up to 112. I am just trying to get to whatever stock configuration should be on the LN2 switch, not something exotic like the 1000W version. If it is suppose to ship with the 520W one listed on techpowerup I will put that one on there. Thanks again.

Yes, it should have the 520W BIOS on it on the LN2 Switch: https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/227017/evga-rtx3090-24576-201110 Pretty sure that's it.

One last thing to try before flashing...try shutting down and pulling the AC plug until the PSU fully discharges between the BIOS switch changes. Maybe reseat the card in the PCIE slot.

When you change the bios switch is the led color changing from green, orange or red. There was an instance early on I remember where someone had a faulty bios switch and that was the problem.

I hit 574w on the ln2 bios but performance degraded, I haven't upgrade the bois yet Performance was not good though... it was definitely a step back. Or possibly I was so tired I was just moving sliders and screwing things up that way.
