I was lucky enough to win a Steam gift card thru the folding TZC. I have a portion of it spent already, and am up in the air about the remaining balance. I can grab a handful of reduced price games off my Steam wishlist, or I can spend the remaining balance on Horizon Zero Dawn. Wondering if anyone has put any time in on this and what their thoughts were. Steam reviews are mostly positive. Generally I like a single player, fantasy based, story driven game, with Witcher 3 and modded Skyrim as the two games I spend most of my time in, with some thime also playing RDR2, GTAV (both single player) and Diablo 2 (my guiltiest of pleasures). The third option is to let the balance sit until the nest Steam sale, but that most likely won't happen. This post will most likely be unnecessary after 24 hours as I will probably pull the trigger on one of my two main options.

It's a great game - constantly gets more interesting & more interesting as you find out more of the story as you work your way through it. Plays great , runs fine since patched up and lots of weapons, gadgets , play styles to use & learn on the way. I got it off Epic game store sale w/ a coupon I had for a little over $ 20.

Thanks. I remember hearing about some of the issues at release, and figured it would have been patched by now, but it's reassuring to confirm. I really am leaning toward this, I don't get a lot of time to game these days, so it doesn't make sense to grab a bunch of games that may sit in my library. Appreciate the feedback!

Pretty good game, in the range of recent Tomb raider games. Lovely graphics and decent all around story. Managed to sync in about 70 hours of play time, doing most important quests. If you skip some of the side content think the game can be done in about 30 hours of enjoyment. However for me it would crash to desktop randomly. So there were some technical issues with it. I've seen that a patch further addressed those crashes but it was a bit too late for me to check as I've already finished. All in all would still recommend it.

Do you have a 3000 series card? Been reading about it doing this more on them than anything else. I just bought it and downloaded it but haven't tried to play it yet.
