Has anyone tried both the standard push and also a push / pull configuration on the 3090 Kingpin? If so did you record the temps for both configurations? Do the three EVGA fans included do a sufficient job of cooling without using the XOC warranty voiding bios?

Also anyone know the exact model of the EVGA fans included with the Kingpin?

According to the self reporting 3090 Kingpin queue i’m coming up soon and was going to go straight to a push/pull configuration but wondering if the default configuration already maxes out the cooling for the radiator.

Thanks for the information.

I replaced the fans and am current running six Noctua NF-F12 iPPC-2000 fans in push/pull with a front intake mount and have certainly observed a difference.

I think it depends on your goal. For a rad this thin, you may not notice a significant difference between push or pull and push/pull at full rpm compared to if it were a thicker rad, just depends on your fans and RPMs. However I like to balance performance and sound so I always aim for push/pull so I can obtain higher levels of cooling at lower RPMs so less noise. I have my six fans set to a static 50% and during gaming, my GPU rarely hits 50 degrees.

Thanks for the feedback. What clocks are you running and whats the avg gaming clock that you’ve observed?
I was looking at 6 of stock EVGA fans or 6 of the NF-F12’s for the exact reason you mentioned “keeping a balance with noise/temp. How are you controlling all 6 F12’s?

I'm running push/pull NF-A12x25's on mine, controlled via Aquaero. I always run push/pull when I have the space to do so as it provides the best noise:cooling ratio. I can run the fans at 900rpm and temps still don't exceed 49-50 under load while being dead silent, all I can hear is the pump noise lol (you really should fix that, EVGA). If I want better thermals/performance I can tune the curve to provide that while still being exceptionally quiet.

Hey there mr. degen, bear with me as I am only up to my 3rd build and therefore am a noob but by experience, I've only ever managed to fit a push/pull in a large fulltower on the top of the case. I guess it's become more accessible nowadays since we can remove the drive cages that usually sit in the front of computer cases? This being said, with airflow physics in mind, isn't it not recommended to run Push/pull the way you do (as intake) since this configuration would push the radiator-heated air towards the inside of your case? Also, how do you plug your 6 fans? My guess is they're not all in the Sys_Fan ports of your mobo, correct?

EVGA fan since the GTX 500's series, 2 580's SLI

I can't speak to the 3090 directly but I've run push/pull for most of my water cooling days. I generally run slower RPM fans and for the most part I find the temps to be more or less the same. The primary difference is the noise made in getting those temps. You may see a slight decrease in temps but it would be at much less noise.

you might see improvement in push pull but not significant, depends if you have the space and want to buy 6 indentical fans

I've run a kingpin in pull @51c and push pull @48c under full load. Not a big difference but if you want it as cool as possible push pull helped a few degrees. When idle it dropped from 31c to 26c. Certainly pulls more ambient air through the rad. I'm positioned at the front in a NZXT 710 and cpu rad is a kraken x73 on the top. Its temps have also dropped a few degrees. I use be quiets silent wings 3 2200rpm fans on the cpu rad. So quiet at 100%. I use the stock fans in pull connected to the kingpin fan control as needed and some nzxt's in push connected to system fans on the mobo running at 1400rpm all times.
