[AMD SMT] Optimized default core/thread utilization for 4-core and 6-core AMD Ryzen(tm) processors. 8-core, 12-core and 16-core processors remain unchanged and behaving as intended. This change was implemented in cooperation with AMD and based on tests on both sides indicating that performance improvement occurs only on CPUs with 6 cores and less.
I'm wondering what the story is on that, why the 8 core and higher don't get it, even if it doesn't seem to offer much, if any gain, saying yes to 4 and 6 core, but no to 8 and higher cores seems like there is some limit or drawback to allowing a bunch of cores, like it can only use 8 or 12 cores max maybe?
PC version of the patch hasn't launched yet as far as I can tell, but might in a few more hours. (been 11 hours since the patch was announced for consoles on twitter, with PC version coming soon)
Maybe the PC patch will be delayed another 21 Days Hours?
