Why would they watercool the XC3? Isn't it power limited once you remove thermal limit with water? For 24/7 gaming clocks, how much higher could the air cooled FTW3 clock with regular fan profile?

Clock is highly dependent on temperature. Even with the lower power limit, I'd expect the Hybrid XC3 to sustain higher clocks than an air-cooled FTW3.

These cards can't even OC a damn to be noticable.
Hybrids aren't just for OC, it's also for system noise. If you exhausted the radiator heat directly out of your case you don't need to run fans that hard and you can have a dead silent case.
I figure that's a purchase case for someone.

xc3 hybrid can sustain higher clock for more time than the air cooled one

On the noise I hear the pumps run 100% so it can have a buzzing noise is this true with the 3080s I have sensitive ears to this stuff especially whitenoise like that.

is not pump related that buzzing probably is coil whine

Because it's noisy and hot as f***. I know that's why I want to water cool it.

Quiet build fanatic here. I have zero interest in overclocking and %100 interest in silence

Silence is king, also not having a space heater on my desk is great too.

Silence is king but you will still have a space heater. Heat and temperatures are two different concepts. 350W is sto 350W no matter what.

If the cooling system used to exhaust the 350W is more efficient, the temperature delta will be less. 55 deg C operating temp is much better than 70 deg C of hot air coming out the back of the PC, speaking from a purely comfort perspective in this case.

From a comfort standpoint, I get what you're saying, but a AIO would probably raise your ambient temperatures a little quicker if anything since it transfers heat out of the computer into the atmosphere more better.
