So yesterday I worked on my GPU overclocking. After each adjustment to the GPU clock I ran Time Spy combined tests. Ended up at +169 on the GPU clock, which gives me around 2145 MHz. After each incremental increase in GPU clock my Time Spy score went up. Today I started working on the Mem clock. I ran three tests, adding +100 to the Mem clock for each test. So +100, +200, and + 300 on Mem clock. Tests ran fine. However, with each test the Time Spy score dropped a little each time. GPU boost clock at least seemed to appear to be boosting about the same. Does that sound right? Based on this should I just leave Mem clock alone at default?

Time Spy combined +169 GPU +0 Mem = 18011 + 169 GPU +200 Mem = 17942 +169 GPU + 250 Mem = 17930 +169 GPU + 300 mem = 17908

The score on just the graphics part? To compare mines 21540 and the gpu usually stays around 2025 on boost, ill get random spikes of 2100+ but only when the gpu isn't running at 99% on a loading transition

No those scored are on the combines tests. I will run it again with the +300 mem on just graphics.

Well that is interesting, with just the graphics tests the score improved as I would think it should. +169 GPU +0 Mem - 21440 +300 Mem - 21509 Note that is running the two graphics tests.

The GDDR6x memory on these cards has error checking built in. Normally you'd overclock memory until you see artifacting etc, and then dial it back to where it's stable. With these cards, you aren't going to see that - if you overclock the memory and see FPS dips, that means you are getting memory errors and the card is correcting them but it obviously eats up performance.

Ok I am now at +550 Mem and +169 on GPU clock. My Time Spy combined test score ( 2 GPU and 1 CPU) was 18000. Also it is at default resolution of 2560x1440. Going to stop there for a bit and do some gaming and see how she does.
