Hello, I am thinking of changing the thermal pads of my 3090 ftw3, and I was wondering if there is someone who has done it, and could tell me the exact thickness measurement; 0.5, 1., 1.5, 2, 3 ..... And if temperature differences are noticed.
Thank you and greetings.

So from what im seeing from a *quick* google search is that the pads are 5mm. However, you should do your own research and make sure it's correct for your card. Good luck.

Your manual should tell you which thicknesses go in which positions. Other posters have said that they contacted EVGA and were told that some variances were okay (like using 2 in place of 1.5 etc). I'd recommend looking into these pads too if you're looking:  https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00ZSELP3O/?pldnSite=1

It's going to depend on the thermal pads you use and how much they compress by. I purchased a bunch of gelid ultimates and replaced my pads a couple days ago. Front vram is 2.5(2.25 is what the stock pads are I am pretty sure). Inductors I used 1mm. Mosfets(vrm modules) were 3mm. Backside vram i used 2.5 as well, you could probably get away with 2mm. Unfortunately I had a negligible memtemp difference of -2c while my gpu and hotspot temp skyrocketed to 10c+. I opened up my gpu again and spread the thermal paste on the gpu die around and it brought down the gpu/hotspot temp a few degrees but it was still 5c higher for gpu than stock and 10c higher for hotspot. I noticed one side of the inductors and mosfets did not have good contact when i opened up my gpu so I am going to try and get .5mm pads to stack on top of the pads that are already there. I do believe that the gpu die is not making enough contact with the heatsink though but in order to fix that I would have to shorten the pads that are making decent contact already. It has been a painful experience. gl if you attempt to try it.
