I was wondering if someone could answer why this FTW cards commands a $200 premium over the XC card? It looks to only have a 90 higher MHz Boost Clock and a slightly higher texture fill rate. Memory is identical. Am I missing something?

Nope, there will be little performance differences however, there didn't appear to be any XC3s anyway

I paid $811.00 for mine at Amazon (new and not from a scalper). I understand that prices are going to be higher for everything in life these days, so paying 800 instead of 600 was fine with me. The card to-date is perfect for my needs. I am using it in my Z370e ASUS gaming mobo (PCIE-3). I built this computer in 2017-2018 and pretty much future proofed it, at least for another 3 to 5 years. I hope everyone else has good luck with 3000 series cards too.

FTW3 has better cooling and often more power/phases available for better OC. It probably also has a bigger profit margin for EVGA, which may explain why it's more likely to be in-stock.
For gaming, the lowest tier SKU (Eg 'XC Black') will always be the best bang for your buck if you can get it.

Check what kind of case you are going to put it into. An FTW3 cooler extends beyond the top of the rear bracket plate. I went with an XC3 since it would fit into one of my smaller builds while an FTW3 sticks out too far and doesn't allow me to put the top cover on the case.

I have a Meshify C case and the FTW3 is one of the few cards I could find that was in stock and that would fit. I am limited to 315mm length and this card is 300mm.

FYI: No reason to upgrade the other components in your current build if they are only five years old. This card works great on a DDR4, PCIe3 slot Motherboard.
