I was waiting a 1 year and 4 months in the EVGA queue and it looked pretty hopeless. So I decided to enter the Newegg shuffle for the first time today, and scored a 3080 12GB FTW3 Ultra Gaming. I did have to also purchase a EVGA 1000 watt Gold PSU for $154, but I can sell that on another site. Im not saying to not use the queue, but maybe you'll have a stoke of luck as I did and score a new card. If you have to purchase a bundle, as long as it isn't a unreasonable price, just get it and sell it.

    Kilroy,
Congrats to you, you waited a long time to get it and just when the frustrations hit hard you go out and not only win the shuffle but a pretty good GPU  at that.  The price might be higher than you initially wanted, but it's still well below scalper prices while giving you the increase to the TI performance.  Good to see you hit the win in the shuffle.  Don't forget to register your GPU and PSU as soon as you get it in.  The PSU is a solid one too so that really is a bonus on top.

I remembered trying numerous times to get a 3080 with no success through the Shuffle. It was a stroke of luck that I managed to get into the queue for the 3080 12GB and just today I got the notify to buy it.

Ebay is cheaper than the shuffle,

I got the EVGA 12GB FTW3 Ultra for the same price as EVGA is selling it for.

In these market conditions use and exhaust every avenue to get a card including other vendors besides EVGA depending on urgency. Queue up AND use Newegg AND use stock watch services to see when something becomes available to try and snag one there too.

Of course if price is of no consideration and time is of the essence, eBay literally has every card you could want *right now*.

    Congrats on the 3080!

Precisely this. As I mentioned in your other post, I was able to score a 3080 and a 3080 Ti via the shuffle, so “winning” it is entirely possible. In my opinion, the EVGA queue should be used as a fallback for most people. Anyway, congratulations on your 3080 12 GB!

If you get in the shuffle for EVGA cards you are going to pay the same price and if its what you want , go for it,  what I meant was all the other AIB's prices on the Shuffle are worse than buying off Ebay right now   But,  just so you know a 3080 on Ebay a year ago was 1050 $

You are pretty lucky to have been chosen for a 3080 first attempt! I have not had any success getting a graphics card yet.

I can't count how many times I've tried the Newegg shuffle, at least 50 times now. I did get picked once for a Gigabyte water block 3080, but I decided it's not worth it because I don't have a liquid cooling loop and the cheapest would be around $100 (can't find any information on converting to air cooling either as a cheaper alternative), and it was bundled with a motherboard that costs $400 but only worth around $200 on eBay. I stopped entering shuffles for stuff I won't buy.

I haven't been able to enter a Evga queue yet either, I should pay more attention on when it opens

You may have better luck at selecting one of the combos, like GPU and PSU if you haven't already tried that. You can always sell the PSU.

    Yeah, I agree.

Power supplies, I might as well get a new PSU. Or if I don't want it, they are typically worth close to Newegg's price on eBay (before selling fee).
Monitors, also can sell and I might as well get a new monitor
    SSDs, also can sell
Motherboards, sometimes worth as much, sometimes worth just 50%
CPU water coolers, I don't really want one and they are hard to sell, judging by the fact that there's very few under sold and completed items on eBay
Cases are kind of hard to sell but those bundles are not common

That's good to know. Thanks for telling us. I have seen the shuffle but I hardly ever see EVGA stuff on there. Might just be because I am looking for a specific item though, but I'll check it out again.

EVGA cards are certainly not as common as gigabyte, MSI, and asus on there.  I always try to get the EVGA cards because typically they are still priced "reasonably" compared to their competitors.
