I'd like to use my SC17 to do but don't want to burn out my laptop. The DownClock setting in Precision X Mobile (1.0.11) takes the CPU down to 800 MHz, the GPU down to 350 MHz and VRAM to 2.8 GHz. These drops seem a bit excessive.
 
I've tried to save custom settings below the default CPU clock (all CPU cores down to 2 GHz, GPU down by 200 MHz and VRAM down by 800 MHz), but they don't take.  Is there a way to make this happen?
