2080ti FTW w/Hybrid Kit running hot

Installed the Hybrid kit on my 2080ti FTW and this thing is hitting 70C. It's in a Thermaltake open air case in a cool room so there's zero issue with outside heat or airflow. The radiator is mounted higher than the card. Today it crashed and the VRM fan went full blast. Any advice for troubleshooting?

    When I initially installed my 2080 FTW3 Hybrid it was getting quite hot. However, I quickly realized that MSI Afterburner went rogue and set both my VRM fan and radiator fan to silent mode, disabling "Auto" with my custom fan settings. I re-enabled "Auto" mode and after that temps never got above 60 Celsius. Anyway, I'm sure you already checked that but if not, look at your fan settings and make sure they are set to "Auto" in your preferred OC software.

     - I added a fan on top of the radiator which lowered the temps 20 degrees.
