Hello, I have recently noticed a slight crackling/static sound from my headphones when ever I use/move the "headphone" volume controller within the NU Audio software
No such problems when using the "master" volume control from either NU Audio software or the direct volume controller in windows (bottom right corner)
I've tried an older driver version with no luck.
is this the sign of my card going bad, bad drivers or just a "nature of the beast" type thing?
I'm usually on top of picking up things like this (with a slight case of OCD (lol) and once being a audio/video tech at disney for years) and I never noticed it before until recently.
Any input or experiences would be great!
Thanx

take some rubbing alcohol, and clean the connector on the end of your headphone cable. You can use a cotton ball or some paper towel with rubbing alcohol on it. Next, take a q-tip with rubbing alcohol on it, and then put it inside the 1/4 inch jack on the sound card, and clean that. That should fix the issue completely.

Thanx for the input but giving the input/outputs a good cleaning did not resolve the issue.
I'll keep chipping away at it in hopes its not the card itself.

This issue can also be caused by faulty cables. You should try changing your cables to see if it corrects the problem.

Update drivers to latest 0.2.1.6. Update the drivers on the video card too, if it's from the AMD family, the problem should go away.
    Best Regards!
