I don't know if this will help much but I saw a graph at the Burson's V6 product page.
 
Evidently the Vivid gives you more sound stage while the classic is more intimate. I'm currently testing with the Classic right now and all I said was "wow" when I first heard it (okay second time since I messed up the installation the first time lol).
