I have had this cooler for just over a year to run on my 8600k at a slight overclock. I have had recent issues where my computer would freeze -- my display turns off and every program I am running halts. I did some troubleshooting (including doing everything from disabling the overclock and changing ram kits to reinstalling my OS) and eventually found out that my cpu cooler turns off right before every one of these episodes! Every time it happens, both of the fans and the block lose all function. The flow control software sometimes stops completely, and when it resumes (if it does), the fans start running at an unknown speed despite whatever the temperature may be.

I would just like to make this issue known. I am probably going to return this if I am allowed to. My experience with it is not good, and I don't want to go through this again. It has also obviously damaged my CPU permanently, as my computer will now fail to handle some very regular tasks like opening browsers or spreadsheets.

It sucks, because I really like EVGA's products. This one worked quite well for some months.

Has this happened to anyone else? If so, what did you do about it?
