AnsweredX99 board crash?

What is the led marked 5VSB_LED ? It is below the stick of RAM on the right side next to the mounting screw.

I had a crash today. Can't get any thing to power on. But, when the PSU is connected to power, and the sw is on, that LED blinks along with a red one right below the ATX 24 pin power connector. They both blink at the same rate, and at the same time but fairly slow.

    It came back on after leaving it off for a bit. but it was absolutely unresponsive till it had been off for a while.
    This is the second tome it has done this in the past few months.

    The blikning only lasts for about one or two min till everything is de-charged.
    Ive just never seen it blink before when pulling the power.

    +5VSB (Volts StandBy) is the standby power the motherboard recives from the PSU as long as it's plugged in/switched on and the LED should be on steady..+5VSB should steadily range anywhere from 4.75 - 5.25 volts and you can check it, or have it checked, using a Digital Multimeter (best) or a PSU Tester..+5VSB keeps the mobo 'alive' and ready to boot up when your PC is shut off.

    Almost certainly the PSU has a problem, try another one if you have or take your PC to a repair shop..You could try reseating the 24-pin ATX power connector on the mobo and PSU (if modular) a few times..Others have reported an issue with the I/O shield, you can take the mobo out and try it..You can search "5VSB LED Blinking" and get some hits.
     
    If the +5VSB is out of spec, the PSU is an issue..If it's not is out of spec, the mobo may be an issue..It just boils down to testing/checking things now and trying another PSU.

    I would agree it sounds possibly power related. I would try testing with another power supply, perhaps borrow one from a friend.
