Hey all,

I currently have a i7 - 4790s (BCLK overclocked to 103.5) and an EVGA z87 motherboard. I know the motherboard was designed to have some serious overclocking potential so I was wondering what kind of performance changes could I expect if I went ahead and bought a i7 - 4790k and overclocked it? I have an EVGA CLC 280 as well so I know I have the cooling power for overclocking.

Thanks!

Depending on scenario and game and assuming a decent overclock(4.4-4.8) likely no more than 5-15FPS. Is it worth the cost? It all comes down to how cheap you can find one. The 4790K is still a very capable CPU especially when overclocked. And you already have the tools for good overclocking......... so why not?
