Which version of Intel Rapid Storage Technology is the latest version for X99, Particularly X99 FTW Reason I ask is I run RAID0, Both drivers I have used on X99 work fine. but would to hear input before installing. FYI: I ran the Intel Driver Support Assistant and it says 14.8.16.1063 is latest for my board. I will use this if no one has anything else. When I visit the link for 14.8.16.1063 it always says a newer version is available. Intel has the worst site for looking for the correct drivers and software. Also: EVGA driver search says. 14.5.0.1081 which I used for a long time. I will be installing a fresh Win10 1809, just want to get my drivers and software ready.

This should help simplify things, but will more then likey just complicate it. No DCH Driver available yet? It still says you should use the driver provided your manufacturer. either way I guess I will just use the 14.8.16.1063 that the DSA says is the latest for my board. 150-HE-E997 The one I've been using since the 12th I wish EVGA would update the driver section.

Yes it is, but where does it say anything about x99 or 5th gen platform. Am I missing something? I can never figure out what the latest for my platform. However just before secure erasing my SSD, I did install the 16.8.0.1000 IRST just to see what it would do. I didn't notice anything out of the ordinary, but in long term who knows.. I just went with the latest from using DSA which is the 14.8.16.1063 Like I said, What am missing about supported platforms? I am always lost when it comes to Intel software.

So I believe the latest IRST RAID for X99 is 14.8.16.1063 as it is the newest version that says 9 series chipsets are supported in the readme.txt file it says this in version 15.2.16.1060 "For Intel® platforms not supported above, visit the RAID version 14.8.0." whereas 9 series is not listed as supported.

Did you try to install it and it said was not supported? "whereas 9 series is not listed as supported." you mean like for the x299 and Z390 Motherboards? I am doing this now.

If supported means allows to install then x99 is supported in 16.8.0.1000 EDIT: Whats even worse is the newest IRST supporting 9 Series/X99 Chipset which is 14.8.16.1063 Does not say it supports Windows 10 64-bit in the README.txt. 2. The system must be running on one of the following operating systems (no other Windows OS versions are supported): - Microsoft Windows* 7 - Microsoft Windows* 7 x64-bit Edition** - Microsoft Windows* 8 - Microsoft Windows* 8 x64-bit Edition** - Microsoft Windows* 8.1 - Microsoft Windows* 8.1 x64-bit Edition** - Microsoft Windows* Server 2008 R2 x64-bit Edition** - Microsoft Windows* Server 2012 x64-bit Edition** - Microsoft Windows* Server 2012 R2 x64-bit Edition** - Microsoft Windows* MultiPoint Server 2011 x64-bit Edition**

Time to run that other file thing now. I just have to remember to remove it from the Run in the Registry Intel Driver and Support Assistant Installer.exe time to see what my X99 and X299 say about this new tool. I do not use RTS on any of my rigs do have to test it out sometimes

I use it for my raid it has been very reliable over the past who knows how many years. close to 10 I think. I just want to stay up to date, with windows releasing feature updates every 6 months. which are usually garbage btw. EDIT: I would start a thread at intel, but they answer with, "we are looking into it" and the thread goes on for years. then disappears. We had a thread going about RAID0 being so fast it was being recognized as an SSD ans could not be Defragmented without running from command prompt. it was never resolved.

Also if you run Optane you cannot use IRST as you can only install 1 on an OS at a time. Only one of the Setup (SetupRST.exe or SetupOptaneMemory.exe) applications can be installed on a system at a time. Choose the application that makes the most sense for your intended usage and configuration.

Well we know 15.2.16.1060 is not supported on the X99 I am not seeing a Driver to download for Version: 16.8.0.1000 Installation_Information.pdfAnd this tells us we now have to use the Dumb Tool Intel Driver and Support Assistant Installer.exe Intel® will be supplying Windows DCH Drivers for its products beginning in November. These drivers will be used for Windows® 10 and Windows* Server 2019 and will replace the existing drivers. Read more I did send feedback to the on this new Tool. So I think we use Version: 14.8.16.1063 (Previously Released) Date: 4/16/2017 Last one listed for the - Intel(R) C600 Series Chipset SATA AHCI Controller mr_scary Also if you run Optane you cannot use IRST as you can only install 1 on an OS at a time.

X99 dose not support Optane Memory. mr_scary Okay we shall see what happens here. https://forums.intel.com/...on/0D50P00004CZxpFSAT/
We have asked Intel this before and they just said to get your drivers from your Motherboard Website. Best of luck with this and Intel
