Hey all....

I have a Z370 FTW board that's giving me some issues.  I went through the comparability list and picked out an i7 8700k (Coffee Lake).

When it came to picking RAM I went through G. Skill's site and used their tool to pick out memory (model number F4-2666C15D-16GVR).  Ordered it up and didn't think to check the list on EVGA's site for compatabiltiy.  While it isn't specifically listed it has all the specs that the board should want/need.

Get it all together and crank it over for the first time and I'm getting a "4C" error to start with then it flashes through a few other errors (including an FF).

I've gone over it all a bunch of times and nothing seems out of sorts.  However I'm not seeing anything about what the "4C" error is.

Thanks for any help you can offer.

Make sure you are installing your memory in slots 2 & 4, if you are, try testing each stick in slot 2.

Hi LowBudgetViking and welcome to the EVGA forums! This 4C error code does not appear in the manual but it could be 9C which is USB detect. You could also try clearing the CMOS settings by holding down the little red button on your board for a few seconds and then try booting up again while also doing what EVGATech_GabrielS suggested.
