I am planning on a 7980XE build and am trying to decide on motherboard.
I will be running the

computer very hard. Planning to OC it 4.5-4.8 depending on lottery and it will run at 100% load for continuous 10-18 hours a day 24/7. Cooling will be the

Thermaltake Floe Riing 360 AIO.
I would MUCH prefer to go with a smaller mATX build. Can this motherboard handly this workload?
If not, which Asus board would be best? I do not know much about the Tuf version.
I would appreciate any advice on which motherboard would be best for me supported with well reasoned arguments.
Thanks.

I second the suggestion of the X299 Micro: very strong VRM for mATX. Also active VRM cooling which will help in your use case.

On the question about cooling for 7980XE at 4.5-4.8... none of us know. Clearly 7980XE will produce a lot of heat, especially OCed like that and use over such long operating hours. Check out Debauer's recent video on 9900K solder TIM silicon thickness. That chip has a problem compared to its previous generation variant. None of us know if Basin Falls also suffers from thicker silicon substrate compared to Skylake-X. I was going to buy a Basin Falls chip, but following Debauer's investigation on the other release, I will wait until they get reviewed before committing.
