I had bought these custom cables by EVGA for my rig 2 years ago but since now I have to step up for a higher wattage psu for my new graphics card could I still use the cables at the time rated for g2/g3 psu for a g6?

    the cables themselves should be fine. Just verify that the pin layout hasn't changed by physically comparing the stock cables to the custom cables.
