I purchased a EVGA 1080 SC from BH-Photo about a month ago, and was looking to step up to a 2080 Ti possibly. I paid about $489 at the time, but it also came with a free SuperNOVA G3 750W power supply.
Do I have to subtract the value of the PSU from my total? It seems like maybe I wouldn't, since the PSU is written as a "free" bonus, but I'm not entirely sure.

    Why did my price paid get changed during the approval process?

    One of three reasons:
    • After reviewing the price paid on your invoice, the Step-Up department will adjust pricing based on your invoice.
    • If there was a rebate for your product, the Step-Up department will adjust pricing to reflect rebates.
    • Step-Up eligible products purchased through a Bundle or DIY are discounted based on the percentage off the MSRP to the Bundle or DIY price. Each item within the Bundle or DIY is calculated using the same fixed percentage off the MSRP for every item.

    How do I calculate my paid price for a product purchased in a Bundle or DIY?

    Step-Up eligible products purchased as part of a Bundle or DIY are considered discounted products. The discount for each item in the Bundle or DIY is based on the percentage discounted off the MSRP to determine the subtotal. For example, if the non-discounted MSRP of all items of the Bundle or DIY is $1,000 and the discounted subtotal is $600, this would mean the discount is $400, or 40% of the MSRP. To determine the discount on each item, you would subtract 40% of the Unit Cost of the item to determine the final cost of the item. As an example, if your GTX 1080 MSRP is listed at $500, you would subtract 40% of the item ($200), to find your final amount paid, at $300.
     
     
    How does your receipt read? Does it show "free PSU" or bundle?  I hope you have registered the GPU within the 14 day window.

    Even though the PSU was listed as "Free" it's not like you could return the 1080ti to BH-Photo for $489 and keep the PSU because it was listed as "Free". It's kind of the same thing.
     
    On the bright side the PSU is good and would be fine for a 2080 system. If you don't need it you can always sell it.
