So it just dawned on me that I might get a divorce over ordering the 2080 ti hybrid when it launches. They have the pre-orders for the 2080 ti at $1200-$1350. They Hybrid always clocks in higher prices.
Dis gone hurt.

It's absurd honestly. I feel like this "generation" is just pushing new tech in addition to a slight performance bump (we'll see when legit benches are available soon!) and the price is just unreal.
However, should that new AA method via learning truly be a great step up, I can see it being a little more worth it. RT is great, but man, that's a hell of a premium.

I find the prices absurd as well...but tasty new tech vs absurd pricing?? Hmm....I'm betting, in my case, the pricing won't matter ;) I want the tech

I get my wife something first, then I buy the graphics cards. Let's see...my first 2 Titan X Pascals cost me new kitchen and family room furniture. My 3rd Titan X Pascal cost me a new car. I just finished a master bathroom remodel as a pre-emptive strike...but I don't think it's going to cut...scoping out a new fence for the yard now!

Compared to the car hobby, spending $1500 on a graphics card feels down right cheap. And like the car hobby, I would spend an unproportional amount of money to the percentage gained, if it meant any gain at all.

Sorry, got distracted by the thought of how powdery white the exhaust tips would be after burning 75 gallons of c16.

I can smell it from my couch. I found a placeholder until the Hybrid becomes reality...
