All of these companies are achieving inventory levels that are 20 to 30 percent increased YoY (year over year), with the exception of Apple, which doubled its inventory. At the same time, that the turnover period for stocks (that is, the time it takes for old stock to be sold and rotated for new inventory) is slowing is an interesting pointer for not only decreased demand, but also overproduction. And as we've seen with some companies which have had to write-downs millions of dollars in unsold hardware, though, these downturns have very real implications for companies' bottom lines - and hence, their share value. Of course, this could have a cascading effect throughout the industry. Many of these surpluses have to do with the recent China/US trade war.

It has ZERO to do with US/China trade. The issue is the tech is old and people want new tech. By the end of the year we will have all kinds of new tech coming to market and companies will enjoy a pick up in sales.

My thoughts exactly. The consumer, especially in the high end market typically will buy something at release are close to release. If something has been out for a year or longer, the high end user typically will wait for the next new technology rather than invest in the current generation that's already showing age.

Even Apple is stockpiling iPhones. I have a feeling that they will ship huge amounts of iPhones to China at the last minute if China decides to announce an Apple embargo or tariffs on Apple products.

    Great news for technophiles!

Pascal is still relevant tech and bounds better than Maxwell. A genuine true node advantage from 28nm to 16nm. Volta is clearly “better” than Pascal but not as much.

If Nvidia ever has a fire sale on Titan Xp - I’d buy a few of them for another dev rig.

I used to mine. Now I compute.
