I'm thinking on buying a 1050ti for my secondary streaming pc..Have a ryzen 5 1600 at 3.8 ghz but noticed while playing ww2 video gets hella pixelated while alot of movement in game...moved to the fast preset on obs but that generated another issue...not enough CPU power for that type of compression...even used my RX580 but quality wise sucks on a 580 at 1440p@60..I know most streamers still on 720p but I'm just trying to save me some work and stream on YouTube and also have a nice quality video after my stream ends so my viewers can enjoy my content at the best quality possible...😎

    Yes.

Streaming while gaming? Well, that's a different question. I don't know. The card itself is more than capable of the rendering task. Since the silicone itself has the encoding taking place in a separate part, it should be no problem as long as your streaming software utilizes the NVIDIA hardware encoding properly and doesn't fight for CPU resources for any reason. It will at least half depend on the streaming software.

I'm using the 1050ti only 4 the stream...I will be gamming on my 1080ti on my gamming rig....I was curious about the 1050ti performance encoding video...I know 1050s and 1060 have 1 encoder unit while the 1070s and 1080s have 2 encoder units...I guess I will have to find out myself if is up to the task 😎...Cant find any info about anybody using a 1050ti just as a designated nvenc aka(streaming pc)

OBS les me use the nvenc...I done it with my RX580 but I don't like the results....and my ryzen 5 1600 does a pretty good job but cant go 2 hard on it...once I try to go lower than the superfast preset I get stream lag....😞

You will want to stick with CPU encoding for nice quality, the lower the bitrate the worse GPU encoding will look.

    card        |NVDEC|NVENC |NVENC |CUDA     |
                               H264      H265    DEINTERLACE
    QUADRO :|1250 |2300*   |1200*  |4000|
    M4000
    GTX 960:  |1800 |1800    |900      |3000|
    GTX 1060:|2600 |2600    |1800     |4000|
    GTX 1070:|2600 |2600    |1800     |5000|
    GTX 1080:|2600 |5200*  |2600*    |10000|
Encoding and decoding is normalized to 720x576 resolution and units are FPS!

If you want to know speed for:
    HD (1280x720) - divide all by 2
    FHD (1920x1080) - divide all by 4

For example encoding on GTX 1070 in FHD quality to H264 will run 650 FPS

    * those cards have 2 NVENC engines, so speed for only one thread will be half
    https://devtalk.nvidia.co...venc-speed-comparison/

1050Ti, 1060, 1070 and 1070Ti all have the same asics.  So they will do the same.  If you want to know your speeds, just do the math.  1440 should be 6? 2160 would be 8?  <--I am guessing here

    3440x1440÷6=825,600

I'm assuming that will be 82,00 kbs?

No you will be dividing the fps.  So 2600/6 is 400fps or so, so it can easily handle it.  Then it is a matter of finding a bitrate that you like and that you can stream with ease.

Ohhhh I see!!! Tank you!!!!! I'm definitely buying a 1050ti now....I was thinking bout buying a threadripper 1950x knowing that the price is gonna go down when 2nd gen launches but I should try the 1050ti firts since is gonna be way cheaper than buying another cpu and motherboard....once again tank you!!!! I look everywhere but no one seemed to know much about this topic 😎

And if you want to save bandwidth you can even go to h265, as you can see, it will still be able to handle the encoding as the fps will be above what you are playing at.  Though I don't know if youtube does h265 anymore.  I think they are more vp9 now.
