I believe Thermaltake showed this item off earlier in the year but now it looks like it is making its way into the sales channels. The number in the model name refers to its Z-height of just 17 mm. This cooler can only handle thermal loads of up to 35W TDP. Pricing isn't known yet. The low profile of this cooler is really awesome.

I remember seeing reviews on this and it was just utter garbage?

    Maybe it's just dejavu.

With a 35W TDP thermal load, it's meant for low power CPUs.

I know that but I seem to remember them testing this on CPUs in that range and consistently getting close to 80c with the fan maxxed out. I'll have to dig for the article.

anything under 250W is useless as most gaming processors are 95W and up

I remember a long time ago seeing a cooler like this and it really didn’t preform very well. Guess it might be enough for a low wattage CPU but really it’s a huge waste of surface as heat has to travel to the risers at the edge to go up the riser.

I believe it was gamers Nexus that did it. It did not perform well at all

    That's correct.
And it was made in Engine 27 model back there (JAN/FEV 2017).
